Jonathan Saunders Posted 4 August , 2009 Share Posted 4 August , 2009 Jonathan, it might be an Autumn picture - several trees have no leaves. Thats why I mentioned Autumn! I think 6/Buffs moved with 12 Div to Purfleet/Tilbury area in Nov 1914. It might not be them but a key would be identifying [or dismissing] the officers by one of our Buffs/ Berks/ Lincolns etc experts. Chris Posted 25 August , 2009 Share Posted 25 August , 2009 I cannot find the pic i wanted of the 1/5th Lincolnshires, but have been able to find the route taken by the 1/4th Lincolnshire Battalion (the 1/5th probably followed a very similair route.) Nov 16th 1914 - Kimpton - Welwyn - Datchworth Green - Wattin at Stane - Ware. Remained at Ware until 18th Novemeber 1914 and then Ware - Wareside - Widford - Much Hadham - Little Hadham - Bishops Stortford - Stanstead Mount Fitchet.
