Remembered Today:

Last Voices of World War One

I appreciate that this is a big ask but, with preparations (sort of!) under way for the new academic year in September, I am looking to get hold of a copy of the television series 'Last Voices of World War One' that was screened by The History Channel last November. I've seen clips of it and know that it would be an invaluable teaching aid - especially with the recent passing of the last veterans.

This of course leads me to ask whether any pal has a copy of the series and would be willing to copy it and send it my way? I will of course cover any costs involved.

Thanks for in advance for any help.

I think I may have the complete set as it was re-run last week.

If I have and I can remember how to do it (it's a few months since I last transferred anything) I am more than happy to copy the series onto dvd for you both.

I shall let you know tomorrow if I have the series etc.

OK, I have only two of the episodes on my hd.

But fear not!!!

The series is repeated again soon, as follows:

Episode One: The Call to Arms on Monday 10th August at 6 pm on the Military Channel

Episode Two: The Battle of The Somme on Tuesday 11th August at 6 pm on the Military Channel

Episode Three: Saving the Wounded on Monday 17th August at 6 pm on the Military Channel

Episode Four: Horror in the Mud on Tuesday 18th August at 6 pm on the Military Channel

Episode Five: The Home Front on Monday 24th August at 6 pm on the Military Channel

Episode Six: Defeat into Victory (The Boys of 1918) on Tuesday 25th August at 6 pm on the Military Channel

Now, you can either record them yourself (obviously :) ) or, if you don't have access to Sky etc, I'm quite happy to record them onto dvd for you - just let me know who wants what and we'll take it from there.

Dearest Kim, Honeybunch, Bounteous one......(enough of the flannel, ed.)

I'd love a copy of the series, pretty please!

I have cable, and so can't get the Military History channel (grrr!)

Happy to re-imburse all costs

This is a limited offer (only because of time constraints and that it involves 6 dvd's). I shall gladly accommodate Squirrel and Bruce's request. Also, Stuart D and Bradley's should they still require them, given the above information. Then ONE other person - ie: first one to ask will also be placed on the list.
