In a recent thread I noticed that members in the UK can access Anc*stry for free at your local library. You lucky b's!

Unfortunately it's only certain Libraries,so not quite full and free access to all.

And here I am paying monthly subscriptions.lol. I most certainly will be paying my library a visit to see if ancestry is free. :D

Mine's free all year except when I have to pay at the end. But seriously we get ours a lot cheaper than UK - why I dont know

its still the same old Ancestry.uk -

It's free at my local library. There was a lady visiting from Australia this week, who claimed that Australian Ancestry was better.

Its free at my local library except that you have to pay to use the work station and access the Internet in the first place (and book your time well in advance) so it isn't cost free at all.

The library edition of Ancestry allows international search, for which I am very grateful as I have only a very limited requirement for it but was close to paying the extra before I discovered that.
