per ardua per mare per terram Posted 28 July , 2009 Share Posted 28 July , 2009 His RAF service record could be in AIR 79/2620 they are not online, they are held at Kew. The RAF have yet to release their MICs, those available online are army records which only show a small fraction of RFC/RAF personnel.

per ardua per mare per terram Posted 28 July , 2009 Share Posted 28 July , 2009 I forgot to say that if the medals were issued by the Air Ministry, they are usually shown on the service record. Do you know his Christian Names? That number is niggling me as possibly being for a transfer, but I don't have the list on me.

per ardua per mare per terram Posted 3 August , 2009 Share Posted 3 August , 2009 Np, if the service record is at Kew, you'll get the names with it and it should cross reference if he was a transfer.
