stuart714 Posted 25 July , 2009 Share Posted 25 July , 2009 Researching 2nd Lt Alexander Crum Ewing, 3rd Batt Seaforth. Found in LG that he was commissioned 2nd Lt 22 Sept 1914; gazette of 26 Nov 1914 notes that it was cancelled. He was Mentioned in Despatches 22nd June 1915 as 2nd Lt, even though he was KIA 22 Dec 1914. My query is how come he is recorded as 2nd Lt if it was cancelled?? Is it just me or have I not had enough coffee this morning. Stuart
