9th Black Watch Posted 24 July , 2009 Share Posted 24 July , 2009 This group's on a dealer's list at the moment. His date of entry appears on his MIC as 3 May 1915. The 6th and 7th Battalions disembarked at Boulogne on 2 May 1915 (although Gould's 'Locations of British Cavalry, Infantry and Machine Gun Regiments' lists 3 May for 1/7th) and it's too early for either the 8th or 9th (Service) Battalions. Derek Hello Derek, I have just purchased this group, all the original documents are together, unfortunately I did'nt know what Battalion he was in, but thank yo ufor the added info, it is a remarkable story. regards steven.
