Remembered Today:

ASC officers attached to infantry

I have come across example of ASC officers being attached to infantry battalions during 1917/1918. The attacments were announced in the London Gazette.

What role would they have been carrying out. Were they acting as 'transport officers'. Or could they been serving as infantry officers, filling slots caused by casualties in the battalion's ranks,

Many thanks,

Mike Dunn
