Lt Robert Gundry Carnall served with 143rd Coy MGC. He was 21 when he died and his next of kin were Archibald & Mary Carnall of Lescrow House, Fowey, Cornwall.

The 48th Division (143rd Coy were part of this) fought in the Battle of the Ancre and it is possible that Carnall was wounded in this action in November which led to his death. Don't have SDGW to hand to confirm this though.

See the mothersite for more info.
