Thanks for the info. very enlightening.

However I think it unlikely he was a stretcher bearer being a Lewis gunner, as for the efficiency

badge, resolution too poor to distinguish.

Hi John,

Apart from lack of colour it would appear to be the 9th. Cheshires inverted triangle, however the cross of St, George above the triangle is the query.
