HERITAGE PLUS Posted 7 July , 2009 Share Posted 7 July , 2009 Tony One possibility is the Secondary Schools which were built in 1913-14 in Sanford Road, Norbury (Croydon). Before they could open war broke out so the buildings were used as a temporary hospital. The schools eventually opened after the war as Norbury Manor Secondary Schools. Approx 8 miles from Guy's. The buildings were demolished in 1987 to make way for a sheltered housing complex. The site is close to where the Nat-West Bank Sports Ground used to be prior to residential development.
