Arthur Posted 19 February , 2003 Share Posted 19 February , 2003 Kevin, I have no information of the Northamptonshire Regt. being an artillery unit during WWI. However, The 4th. Bn. Northamptonshire Regt. were converted 1/10/1937 as 50th. [The Northamptonshire Regt] A.A. Bn. R. Engineers. They were transferred 1/8/1940 as 50th. Searchlight Regt. R. Artillery [The Northamptonshire, Regt.] consisting of *400-403 Btys. and for a time served at Frinton-on-sea, Essex. They were redesignsted 23/1/1945 as 637 Regt R.Artillery and then had following designations after the second world war. Arthur *Note: 400 Bty joined the 30th. Searchlight Regt R.A. 10/9/1942
Arthur Posted 20 February , 2003 Share Posted 20 February , 2003 Kevin, With regards to my last reply to your query, you could try and get hold of a copy of TERRITORIAL ARTILLERY. N. Litchfield. I am sure that this will help you also. Arthur
