The King has been pleased to direct that temporary Lieutenant-Colonel Sydney Douglas Rumbold, 8th Battalion, The York and Lancaster Regiment, shalll oease to be a member of the -Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, of which Order h« was appointed Companion on 1st January, 1919, and that Ms name shall be erased from the Register of the Order. War Office, 5th March, 1920. His Majesty the KING has directed that the Distinguished Service Order and the Bar to the Distinguished Service Order ' which were awarded to temporary Lieutenant-Colonel Sydney Douglas Rumbold, 8th Battalion, The York and Lancaster Regiment, and were gazetted on the 27th October, 1917, and the. 1st February, 1919, respectively, shall be cancelled, and that his name shall-be erased from the Register of the Order, in consequence of his having been cashiered by sentence of a General Court-Martial. 5th March, 1920.
