peterhogg Posted 28 June , 2009 Share Posted 28 June , 2009 A while back I read a comment in an older post to the effect that a considerable number of official photographs from the Great War have yet to be released by the British Government. The comment was made in the context of another subject so I can't find the post and it's been driving me batty. My question is this, is it the case that there are photographs held in British archives that have yet to see the light of day? thanks, peter
Paul Reed Posted 28 June , 2009 Share Posted 28 June , 2009 There are hundreds, if not thousands in the archives of IWM with no caption. As such, they don't appear in any indexes, and I suspect few have ever been used.
