Is there anyone who may be able to tell me anything about my Garandad's medal card or advise me where I might be able to find any more about where and when he served. I have attached medal card. His name was William Victor Taylor and he lived in Cheshire.

He was in the 1st Garrison Battalion Manchester Regt, this unit was formed at Knowsley Park Sept 1915, Feb 1916 it moved to India, The medal was returned to the medals office but reclaim in May 1940.

The 2nd Battalion the Kings Liverpool Regt were in Peshawar, and remained in India throughout the war, he may have been with this battalion first, then was move/posted to the Manchesters you would need to find his service records to see if this was the case.
