Could a kindly pal possibly look up some of the following chaps for me please? They are all alumni or staff of Bristol University and/or OTC and I was wondering whether SDGW/OGDW might contain some info as to their addresses, ages etc. I realise it's a big request but anything on any would be great

ODGW does not give ages or addresses,the only info that it will give you other than you already have is whether they were KIA DOW or Died (normally an accident)or whether they were attached to another Btn.

For example 2lt Alfred Bradbeer was attached to 11th Btn Lanc Fus

Pals on the forum might have information on individual officers you have listed.

Thanks Doug, should have known that about OGDW!! ;) Thanks for the info about Bradbeer, didn't realise that.

Still, if any pal does have any info on any of the aforementioned chaps all help thankfully received :D

According to Airmen Died in the Great War, 2nd Lt Bertram Joseph Venn, Royal Engineers, was killed whilst flying a Maurice Farman Shorthorn, No A 2493 with 5 Training Squadron in the UK. He was a native of Clifton, Bristol. He is buried at Bristol (Canford).

The Sky their Battlefield mentions a Lt H C E Bockett-Pugh who was taken prisoner possibly in May 1918 whilst with 52 Squadron, no further details are given. He was repatriated on 29-11-18.

The Rev.E.H.Loring was at various times Vicar at Ewshott and Beccles and had a residence in Hyde Park area of London.
