I have seen a copy of a trench map that has been overlaid with grid squares showing the number of bodies recovered after the war Unfortunately i cannot remember where i saw this map can anyone help as to where i might be able to either download these maps or where they might be held

It's called a body density map. Some are held at the IWM, some at the National Archives, some are available on the map DVds now available from the Western Front Association.

Tthanks for the offer but i was looking for high wood on the somme as that is where my uncle was killed
