robertsim Posted 20 June , 2009 Share Posted 20 June , 2009 I would very much appreciate some interpretation of my Great Grandfathers MIC, I've figured he died on 13 November and it was as a result of a self inflicted wound, but what do all the numbers and the 13.3.22 date refer to? Thanks in advance. Rob

robertsim Posted 21 June , 2009 Author Share Posted 21 June , 2009 Doug, Cheers for that, so as I read it he embarked to Egypt on 1.3.16 as a Lieutenant with the RASC, earned the British War Medal and Victory Medal that were issued on 8.11.22 and is entered on the Ofiicers Roll p281D. Brilliant! The only real mystery then is the 13.3.22 date in the bottom left hand corner, any suggestions? Thanks again Doug. Rob
Procat Posted 22 June , 2009 Share Posted 22 June , 2009 Hi Rob, Sorry any suggestion would be merely a guess on my part. Doug
ItemCo16527 Posted 22 June , 2009 Share Posted 22 June , 2009 Could the date be when the application for his medals was received?
