How much would you expect to pay for a pair of Vickers Machine Gun boxes, Australian and probably ww2, because ww1 may be a bit old.

You're on the wrong forum mate, this is WW1 only!

WW1, cost on average as there were many different patterns ... £150-£350

I think he means transit boxes for the machine gun and the stand,I have both,no idea what they fetch on their own though.

Krithia - quite right ammuntion boxes..........and aiming lamp assemblies.

If transit boxes I would be interested to hear WHAT are the identifying differences. My limited knowledge is based upon the rope handles/posn of chocks either end which identify Brit or Aussie manufacture - apart from the orange colour most Aussie ones have inside.
