I'd appreciate any information about this young captain please - he is remembered in a stain glass window at the St Georges Memorial church !

on 16 June 1915

Son of Edwin and Milicent Agnes Thomas-O'Donel, of Newport House, Newport, Co. Mayo; husband of Violet Thomas-O'Donel (nee Braddell).

Remembered with honour

No full entry in Bond of Sacrifice but it does add that he was "killed by a shell"

Our Heros the Irish book adds that he was an only child and was battalion Adjutant

There is a photo (not brilliant but no bad either) if you'd like a scan drop me a PM with your email

Hi - I realise that the original post was nearly 8 years ago, but you might be interested in this page of the 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers War Diary for 16 June 1915.
