The only L/cpl Davies on the Soldiers Died cd is a L/cpl William Henry Davies number 16000 7th Batt KSLI killed 25-2-1918 born Leebotwood Salop, enlisted Shrewsbury,resided Leebotwood, went to France 25-3-1918 entitled to the 1915 Star,British War and Victory medals. ralphjd Posted 11 June , 2009 Share Posted 11 June , 2009 Further info from Ancestry:- 1901 Census looks like he was the son of Edwin and Mary A Davies born 1894 (it has his birthplace as Merle Brace Shropshire) 1911 Census has him living Church Stretton Shropshire.
