I search informations concerning this officer;

Lcol Beer John Henry, 2/8° Royal Warwickshire regiment,death during the battle of Fromelles the 19 july 1916. He is buried at Laventie military cemetery.

I'm not reach to found this photo and other information concerning him.

His medal index card has the following information:- Next of kin :- his father W A Beer. Wildsworthy, Kenton, Devon. He was a Major in the Sussex Yeomanry and a Temporary LT/Colonel with the Royal Warwicks attached to the Royal Berkshires. He went to France 15-4-1915. Ralph.

His obituary from the Times dated 8th August 1916

"LIEUTENANT-COLONEL J. H. BEER, of the Royal Berkshire Regiment, who was killed on July 19, was the second son of Mr and Mrs W. A. Beer, of Kenton, Devon. He served with the Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry in the South African War, and in August 1914, obtained a commission in the Sussex Yeomanry. Last year he proceeded to Frannce as Major in the Bengal Lancers, with whom he remained for six months, returning to England in October and rejoining the Sussex Yeomanry. In March he was appointed second in command of one of the battalions of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, with whom he again went to the front and only a few weeks before his death was given command of the unit at whose head he has fallen fighting. Lieutenant-Colonel Beer was 36 years of age."
