jansanderson Posted 7 June , 2009 Share Posted 7 June , 2009 Hi I have a photo (attached) of Dennis William Lockey 13658 B Batt 286 Bde RFA whose service records are on Ancestry and povide plenty of information about his service. I presume during Operation Georgette, he was reported missing 9 Apr 1918. 25 May his father wrote to the ministry saying he had received a card from his son stating that he was a POW in Germany. Had a really good look but can't see anything about where he was held. I would be very grateful if someone could guide me in the search for details of his imprisonment. Thanking you in advance Jan

jansanderson Posted 8 June , 2009 Author Share Posted 8 June , 2009 Thanks for your responses and the very useful suggestions you all made. No joy at the National Archive as yet but I need to do a more thorough search. Regarding the Red Cross archive, I had thought you needed to be a relative to gain access at this time. I'm not related to Dennis. Will follow up on your ideas. With thanks Jan
