Can the Pals experts help, please

I have the MIC for the above which says 'Not identical with 2Lieut Cecil Adamson York. L. I. attd Durh . L. I. (T.F.)

The MIC says Commissioned D.L.I. 4.9.16 - Can anyone confirm this. I've tried the LG but can't get it to help other than 16 April 1918 p10 'To be Lt DLI 26.3.18' (BUT is this the other officer?).

MIC says he was first a Pte in 19/R Fus which is a 'Public Schools' bn which didnt go France - he did - on 14.11.15. There is no other OR detail ie no other regiment shown prior to his commissioned service. How do I find the unit he was with on entering France, without his papers?

The MIC also shows R.E. Lieut. In addition it has 'M.C.' in the name box and I'm informed he got this for mine clearance on 17 October 1918 but again I can't get this to come up on the LG search - does anyone have R.E./ M.C. records? Anyone with 1917/18/19 Army Lists which might show him in the Engineers and with MC after his name?

The 1915 Star is a TP reference (London)

The BWM/VM is a DLI Officer reference.

Happy Easter to all

Tony
