abdb123 Posted 2 June , 2009 Share Posted 2 June , 2009 Guys just picked up an IGS with the Malabar Bar to the Dorset Regt, but can somebody point me in the right direction as to when he joined, where he served as there's no date of entry or theatre on the MIC, the last number on the MIC is the one on the IGS Andrew
HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 3 June , 2009 Share Posted 3 June , 2009 His original number the 20986 one would suggest a post 1915 enlistment;the 5719212 number would be correct for post 1919 service, with the 0547 number being the immediate post war number.suggesting that he stayed serving after the cessation of hostilities or at very least re enlisted shortly afterwards as many did.
