NL1965 Posted 20 May , 2009 Share Posted 20 May , 2009 For many years I have been visiting the memorial at Vis-en-Artois of my great-uncle Pte J. P. Lawrence 17781 who was killed in action on 18/09/1918. I now realise that this was the day of the Battle of Epehy and that his unit was fighting some way to the south of the memorial. I am desperate to try to isolate the area in which he was killed and have only recently come across the wonderful resource that this forum is. Anyone got any advice, information that might help in my quest? Neil
