Ken Devitt Posted 18 May , 2009 Share Posted 18 May , 2009 I am looking up this man (Robert Kerr 59713) who was the father of a friend of mine and was born in Ireland. I know he joined up underage and landed in France on 18/11/1915 and served with the RAMC. According to his son he was taken prisoner of war and so I would appreciate any leads or information from the experts out there. As always, Kind regards, Ken

Ken Devitt Posted 22 May , 2009 Author Share Posted 22 May , 2009 Hi Des, I know there were quite a few Robert Kerrs from Antrim but this man was born in Queens County (Laois) but lived in Kildare. According to his son he enlisted at the Curragh but I don't know how reliable that information is. I could find nothing under his number on Ancestry but then I don't have accesss to it. Let me know if you come up with any leads or pointers. As always, Good hearing from you. Ken
Desmond7 Posted 22 May , 2009 Share Posted 22 May , 2009 No probs. Have you tried Eddies News Extracts for the Presbyterian RoH? I know that sounds like a huge jump but Robert Kerr DOES sound very Presbyterian!
Ken Devitt Posted 22 May , 2009 Author Share Posted 22 May , 2009 And he was I believe, but never thought of looking there Des, even though its on favourites. But then it takes a good Ballymena man to think like that. So lets see how it goes. Kind regards, Ken
