Ken S. Posted 18 May , 2009 Share Posted 18 May , 2009 Never ceases to amaze me how disrespectful some people can be. http://www.wellandtribune.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1561797 http://www.wellandtribune.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1564836
Copper6197 Posted 18 May , 2009 Share Posted 18 May , 2009 I agree! The local Toronto papers just described some of the damage, there were no photos attached to the articles. Absolutely disgraceful!! George
Ken S. Posted 18 May , 2009 Author Share Posted 18 May , 2009 I suppose it's official, I'm getting old. I've been trying to figure out what a "doonerz" is but just can't make sense of it. I'm finding it as a username, but also in perplexing sentences such as: "Howz about a snog under da doonerz?" "well not really cold bed cause its got 4 doonerz on it" "Grab what you can from the corpzes and take thoze doonerz" "Take the cart and the doonerz to the ztablez"
findabetterole Posted 23 May , 2009 Share Posted 23 May , 2009 This just goes to show what society is breeding these days in ever increasing numbers... Brain dead - illiterate - interbread morons! The defilers of the statue i'm refering to. Seph
peterhogg Posted 23 May , 2009 Share Posted 23 May , 2009 I am guessing that "doonerz" is the tag name the vandal or "graffiti artist" uses to identify his particular work of art. If some sort of statement was being made through this act of vandalism (i am being pretty charitable here) it's pretty unclear and gives you some clue as to the author's minimal level of intelligence. This is a disgusting and pointless act committed by some cowardly loser. it would be nice to see the offender caught and suitably punished but that is unlikely. The one consolation is that people like this vandal usually end up doing more damage to themselves in the long run than the judicial system could equal. Ken S. Posted 24 May , 2009 Author Share Posted 24 May , 2009 Well, took me long enough to remember that some people like to substitute "z" for "s". And so here is the supposed definition of a "dooner" and, well, it certainly fits... http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dooner
peterhogg Posted 24 May , 2009 Share Posted 24 May , 2009 I'm a dooner not to have consulted the urban dictionary!
Ken S. Posted 1 June , 2009 Author Share Posted 1 June , 2009 Well, they've nabbed four suspects ages 14 or 15, and three of them happen to be girls. http://www.wellandtribune.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1591881
peterhogg Posted 1 June , 2009 Share Posted 1 June , 2009 As they will be charged as youth offenders, if charged at all, nothing will happen to them. Basically wait until they are 18.
