Remembered Today:

32 Royal Fusiliers

On 31st July 1917 the War Diary of 32nd Battalion Royal Fusiliers notes 2 Killed and 1 Died of Wounds.

Clifford Isherwood and Charles Holdsworth are both listed on the Menin Gate, yet George Atkinson is buried at Voormezeele Enclosures No1 and No2.

SDGW lists all 3, (who all incidentally transferred from Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment) as being Killed in Action.

Is it likely therefore that George Atkinson was the one who the War Diary says Died of Wounds?
