pte 13980 james,henry adams is listed on CWGC,as died on 19-8-16,pte adams,was killed in action,on 19-8-1915.

Have you told them, this looks like simple transcription error.

Definite error Mack, they need to be informed. His MIC can be used as evidence plus the fact that the 11th Manchesters were not in Turkey, where he is buried, in 1916.

Overseas deaths should also be enough

The original register shows 1916 and so you will need to show evidence. The overseas death index itself is not reliable enough but the death certificate would be. MICs are also sometimes wrong.

This is no doubt an original typo somewhere. If so, it won't be difficult to fix. I'll see what can be gleaned from CWGC.

the reason that pte adams could not have been killed,in 1916,is his grave location,hes buried in lala baba cemetery,gallipoli,these graves,were from the original cemetery+a few graves,brought in from a few surrounding burials,after the armistice.
