Remembered Today:

RMA Anti Aircraft Brigade in France

Some time ago I mentioned the acquisition of a medal group of four (1914 trio plus Naval LSGC) to a gunner in the Royal Marine Artillery. Apparently after the events of 1914 (Dunkirk, Ostend, etc.) the RMA were broken into two brigades - a howitzer brigade and an anti-aircraft unit. My man served with the AA brigade.

The brigade consisted of four batteries, each with four lorries mounting two-pounders. The first two batteries reached the Western Front in April,1915; the remaining two arrived in the autumn. They served in the Ypres salient.

Do any of the Pals have any details on their movements; what BEF formations they were attached to, etc.?
