BRIAN TALMER Posted 4 April , 2004 Share Posted 4 April , 2004 An account of the village of The Lee nr Great Missenden during the War, the effect on the village and the soldiers who served. A nice snapshot of life in a small village which turns into an account of the 2/1st Bucks Battalion who were slaughtered at Fromelles. I enjoyed it as it contains quite a few references to my family and was interested to discover I'm descended from Baptists, and was brought up next to the site of the chapel during the Great War.
