Raster Scanning Posted 4 April , 2004 Share Posted 4 April , 2004 This letter was sent to the wife of J Robinson a 40 year old Private in the 7th Bedfordshire Rgt. Both CWGC and SDGW give his date of death as August 16th 1917. SDGW adds he died of wounds. The letter from CSM Young of the 2nd Leinster Rgt is dated (twice) 7-9-17. I am trying to find out why the difference in dates, even if the letter was sent a few days after burial, it still is wrong. Can anyone help with a location for the 2nd Leinster Rgt on August 16th and September 7th? I can then see if they were anywhere near the 7th Bedfords. Thanks.
