John Gilinsky Posted 22 April , 2009 Share Posted 22 April , 2009 A major Belgian newspaper has been completely digitized for all of 1914 here: http://mara.kbr.be/calendarapp/calendar1fr...5&year=1914 with the main entry www site being: http://belgica.kbr.be/fr/coll/jour/jourJb555_fr.html This newspaper is the "L'Independance Belge" founded in Brussels in 1831 as the "L'Independant" (name changed to former in 1843) and ceased publication after the final issue of May 13, 1940. This was considered to be the TIMES equivalent in Belgium. John Toronto

archangel9 Posted 23 April , 2009 Share Posted 23 April , 2009 Looks fantastic. Pity I am an uneducated fool with no language skills Anyone willing to provide an English translation? For the entire 1914 collection? John
John Gilinsky Posted 23 April , 2009 Author Share Posted 23 April , 2009 Shredie and archangel9: Sorry but I didn't not check thoroughly per language versions etc... for this particular digitized collection. Bi-lingual(multilingual) dictionaries including online are in order here as one possible tenatatvie solution.
