RMS Olympic trooping during the Great War

Dear All,

I think the soldiers in this shot on board RMS Olympic are probably Canadian.

I am struggling to post a blown up view of the badges, and will do so if I can master my software, but in the meantime can anybody second guess the cap badge as I can just about make out the outline: seemingly a "pomegranate" up top with a "banana" underneath. Please forgive the technical jargon. All help appreciated!
