There's a Private CECIL DAWSON 7741 Border Regiment on Ancestry, born c 1889 Hargate House, Fleet, Lincolnshire

He attested 21.07.1915

To France 02.02.1917 until 24.04.1917

Home 25.04.1917 until he died (meningitis?) 22.08.17

He's also on CWGC - secondary Regiment Pay Corps. buried at Fleet, Lincs.

Give me a shout if you want the Ancestry stuff.
