redorchestra Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 Sorry for this boring topic, but I really need to download some educational resources from the WFA website, but it says I need to register first, which I have done, but I can't see anywhere on the site where I can use my username/password to log in! Could someone help me with this as really need to get this stuff sorted soon! Appreciated..
John_Hartley Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 I thought you only had to register to use their discussion board "Front Forum". John
Chris Foster Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 I thought you only had to register to use their discussion board "Front Forum". John Same here .
SteveE Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 If you want try to download the educational resources that are available on the main WFA website (not the forum) then you are asked to register. I've just attempted to do the same to see what happened. I tried to download some of the material, was asked to register and went through the registration procedure, validated the email etc. Then when you go back to download the material you're asked to register again, nowhere (as far as I can see) does it appear that you are able to login to actually download the material If redorchestra is missing the login link then so am I, there just doesn't appear to be anyway in........ Regards Steve
Stephen Nulty Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 The log in/registration procedure for the WFA website has recently been changed. Can I suggest that you post this query to the WFA forum as the Web Admin guys and Mods there will be better placed to answer this question - both sites are run by them, after all.
Stephen Nulty Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 This is being resolved even as we speak by the WFA Web Manager. Could you hang fire for a little while and try again a little later? As I said earlier, it's better to log the issue via the WFA Forum as this will normally guarantee that one of the web team sees it and can react accordingly.
SteveE Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 Stephen As you're already aware I've asked the question on WFAFF, thanks for your help and assistance. I assume that redorchestra asked the question here as they're not registered on the WFA forum? Anyway should be fixed shortly. Thanks again. Steve
thancock Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 Hi All, My apologies, when I made the change to free (ie unregistered) downloading from the "For Schools" section I omitted to flick a global switch. I've done that now. As Stephen has said, there are quicker ways of contacting me than posting here, as I am (regrettably) an infrequent visitor to the GWF. By far and away the quickest (especially if it appears to be a technical issue) is to drop me an email via the contact process at the foot of the WFA website. Sorry for any inconvenience. To confirm, you now no longer are required to register to view and download the "For Schools" learning and teaching materials attachments. Kind regards David WFA Webmanager
redorchestra Posted 8 April , 2009 Author Posted 8 April , 2009 Brilliant, thanks for your help. I know I would've been better off contacting the WFA but I could only see e-mail addresses for branch chairs and wasn't sure if they could help. Thanks for sorting it out so quickly anyway!
SteveE Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 Now sorted and should be OK. Many thanks one and all.
