MC was promulgated in the London Gazette #29608, 3 June 1916. Link to Gazette is Here. It's a King's Birthday Honour so unlikely to have a citation in the Gazette.

2nd Lt. (temp. Lt.) (temp. Capt. R.E.) Harry Hannay, K.O. Sco. Bord., T.F.

Must have been late, eye strain?

It's another example of the joys of searching the Gazette  . Enter "Harry Hannay" in the search terms and you get those other results you'd found but not the MC, enter "HarryHannay" without the space and voila!!

You're a star Steve! It's a technique I will now try on other "missing" entries !!

Thanx a lot
