Stebie9173 Posted 5 April , 2009 Posted 5 April , 2009 He may not have claimed his medals at all.... Steve.
SteveE Posted 5 April , 2009 Posted 5 April , 2009 MC was promulgated in the London Gazette #29608, 3 June 1916. Link to Gazette is Here. It's a King's Birthday Honour so unlikely to have a citation in the Gazette. 2nd Lt. (temp. Lt.) (temp. Capt. R.E.) Harry Hannay, K.O. Sco. Bord., T.F. Regards Steve
Stebie9173 Posted 5 April , 2009 Posted 5 April , 2009 Blimey, I looked in that Gazette as well! Steve.
SteveE Posted 6 April , 2009 Posted 6 April , 2009 Blimey, I looked in that Gazette as well! Must have been late, eye strain? It's another example of the joys of searching the Gazette . Enter "Harry Hannay" in the search terms and you get those other results you'd found but not the MC, enter "HarryHannay" without the space and voila!! Regards Steve
