Steven Broomfield Posted 3 April , 2009 Share Posted 3 April , 2009 Do we know any more about L/Cpl Marshall? Which battalion? Did he survive the war? And what, pray, is a fish patty merchant?
squirrel Posted 3 April , 2009 Share Posted 3 April , 2009 Presumably one who makes and sells fish patties. Otherwise known as fish cakes?
4thGordons Posted 3 April , 2009 Share Posted 3 April , 2009 Do we know any more about L/Cpl Marshall? Which battalion? Did he survive the war? And what, pray, is a fish patty merchant? There is a Fred C Marshall 235251 (formerly pte 253250 A&SH) who looks a good possibility, this service number would make him a member of the 4th Bn I think, so I will have a look when I get home and see if I have anything on him. He does not appear on my casualty lists. Doesn't ring a bell - but not much does in the middle of a frantic Friday. Chris
