taylov Posted 2 April , 2009 Posted 2 April , 2009 I am interested in an immediate MSM to Cpl. John North, R-18400 of the 20th Btn KRRC. The MSM was Gazetted in the LG Vol II, 1919; page 6890. The Medal card for the MSM shows it was for services in France. However an internet search for this soldier on the National Archives finds no medal card and Ancestry yields only the MSM card. If he was awarded the MSM for service in France would he not have qualified for the BWM and VM? Any advice would be welcome. Tony

taylov Posted 2 April , 2009 Author Posted 2 April , 2009 Ancestry had his card misfiled under NORTON ...... Of course, that's where I should have looked...... Many, many thanks to SteveE - You've obviously spent more time being driven mad by Ancestry than I have. Once again, GWF members 1 Ancestry 0. Tony
