This book, currently on ebay, purports to be a whistle blowing attack on staff officers of the Boer War and their part in battle failures. I include it here because the staff officers of the Boer War became the command staffs of WW1. I have no connection with the seller and have never seen the book before. Does anyone know anything about it?

Sounds like the book was highly critical. The author was Capt W E Cairnes.

For those who aren't aware, this and Internet Archive are great (free!) sources for books published before 1930 (i.e. expired copyrights).
