Tinhat47 Posted 29 March , 2009 Share Posted 29 March , 2009 Hope this thread isn't too silly for a serious discussion forum! I'm always amazed at the beautiful designs of British army cap badges and just when I think I've seen most of them, I get struck (no pun intended) by the superb design of one I've never seen before. So my question is which cap badges are your favorites, visually? Oh yeah, and post pictures if you like!
ralphjd Posted 29 March , 2009 Share Posted 29 March , 2009 The gilt/enamel 25th Battalion Royal Fusiliers City of London Regt and 11th Battalion Border Regt (silver) got them both. Ralph.

Staffsyeoman Posted 29 March , 2009 Share Posted 29 March , 2009 I'd say an officers' silver and gilt Royal Warwickshire Regiment badge, but as that was Dad's, I'm biased. Dad said the most beautiful badge he ever saw was the officers' silver and enamel Royal Sussex Regiment, complete with 3D plume. Inclined to agree. Tinhat47 Posted 29 March , 2009 Author Share Posted 29 March , 2009 I was just acquainted with the Artists Rifles badge last night and amazed that I'd never seen one like it before. I love the Queen's Regiment lamb too, and another I saw for the first time today ... Berkshire Imperial Yeomanry with the Uffington White Horse on it. Matt Dixon Posted 30 March , 2009 Share Posted 30 March , 2009 I suppose it would have to be the 9th Lancers because of a personal connection with them. That said the only time I have ever found anything on the battlefield was a Hampshire Regiment cap badge, and since then I have always had a bit of a "thing" for that badge. squirrel Posted 30 March , 2009 Share Posted 30 March , 2009 Any of the Officers regimental cap badges in Gilt/Siver/Enamel look superb. 18th Battalion the London Regiment is an unusual one - no motto, title, battle honour or other inscription.
