chris basey Posted 31 March , 2004 Share Posted 31 March , 2004 I am trying to find more about the Senior NCO's and WO's from the Norfolk Regiment who bore the coffin of Edith Cavell at Norwich Station and then at the Cathedral for the interment on 15th May 1919. The six men were: Sgt Woodward, Sgt Maj Fisher, Sgt Maj Monument, RSM Cocksedge, Sgt Tunmore and RSM Goulder. I have bio details for Tunmore and Goulder but the others are proving to be quite difficult. They each have small mentions in the Regimental Magazine up to about 1928 but nothing of substance. Any suggestions or clues will be gratefully received.

Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 31 March , 2004 Share Posted 31 March , 2004 OK - it relates to Sgt D J Tunmore. But the article does include a photograph of the the coffin bearers. (ST April 2003). Ian

Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 1 April , 2004 Share Posted 1 April , 2004 Chris - Goes to show it was at least memorable to one person! The height of achievement is to have your own work quoted to you!! I found it very interesting. Ian
