robert burden Posted 25 March , 2009 Posted 25 March , 2009 Hi, am trying to research more about my grandfather Fred Burden who was in the KRRC 19TH reserves TR Battallion 53727. I understood he fought at the Somme as a Corporal and after his senior ranks were killed he led the men back to friendly lines and was made a King Sergeant. He was originally from Waltham Abbey in essex and joined up in 1917. Any info would be appreciated. Robert.
