Muskoka Posted 20 March , 2009 Posted 20 March , 2009 During my four years of researching and writing two novels set during the Great War, I came across many websites. So I've compiled a list of the ones I found most helpful and interesting. http://4yearsofww1.info/websites.htm
1690philip Posted 20 March , 2009 Posted 20 March , 2009 thanks for the post. Websites are spot on. Regards, Phil.
mick1234 Posted 7 April , 2009 Posted 7 April , 2009 Brilliant Muskoka, Lost a site a few weeks ago and could not find it and as luck would have it, there it popped up in you site Well doneand thanks for posting, Mick
Muskoka Posted 7 April , 2009 Author Posted 7 April , 2009 Thanks, all! I've also been getting some feedback on the "Odd Facts" page of that website from history teachers and other educators who plan to use these with students. What a thrill for me! I guess it was the teacher in me that just couldn't resist posting some of the facts that surprised and fascinated me!
phil@basildon Posted 7 April , 2009 Posted 7 April , 2009 Would you want any suggestions on some websites to add to your site? If so do they have to be specific to WW1 or would a site that contains some WW1 information be acceptable such as www.irishwrecksonline.net ?
Muskoka Posted 7 April , 2009 Author Posted 7 April , 2009 Phil, I've just listed the websites I used in my research. There's a much more comprehensive list of sites prepared by Borden Battery for the CEF Matrix project, to which I will be contributing any additional websites I might come across. Visit Matrix Project Websites Thanks for the thought!
Copper6197 Posted 8 April , 2009 Posted 8 April , 2009 Had a quick peek at your list, Muskoka, A great aid to we Canadians interested in WWI and family research. George
