Private George Taylor of the 1st/6th Battalion, the Sherwood Foresters

Remembered with Honour today Private 3140, George Taylor of the 1st/6th Battalion, the Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) who was killed in action on 19th March 1916. Aged 20. George was born in Shuttlewood Derbyshire and enlisted in Bolsover. He was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Taylor of Shuttlewood, Chesterfield Derbyshire and the husband of Dorothy Parkin Taylor, of 11, Sutton Hall Rd., Carr Vale, Bolsover, Chesterfield. George is buried in CABARET-ROUGE BRITISH CEMETERY, SOUCHEZ, Pas de Calais, France. RIP George
