swift1914 Posted 29 March , 2004 Share Posted 29 March , 2004 Lance Corporal Ernest Dare of the 9th Devons died of wounds in a military hospital at Farnborough Hampshire in February 1919. What is puzzling me is where did he sustain his injuries that required his repatriation to a hospital here? Presumably he arrived before the end of the war? Does anyone out there also know what the name of the hospital was?
Bob Coulson Posted 30 March , 2004 Share Posted 30 March , 2004 9th Devons were involved in the Battle of the Sambre in early November 1918. It is possible he recieved his wounds during that action. Bob.
