Lance Corporal Ernest Dare of the 9th Devons died of wounds in a military hospital at Farnborough Hampshire in February 1919.

What is puzzling me is where did he sustain his injuries that required his repatriation to a hospital here? Presumably he arrived before the end of the war?

Does anyone out there also know what the name of the hospital was?

9th Devons were involved in the Battle of the Sambre in early November 1918.

It is possible he recieved his wounds during that action.

Bob.
