I know Tideswell pretty well - they would have been very sad to lose him in the village.

God Bless

It's a small beautiful Peaks village so I assume that everyone would know everyone and the death of one of the sons of the village would have been felt very keenly.

My family go way back in and around Tideswell and the Chapman family are related by marriage. Most lived at Cressbrook which came under Tideswell.

Never forgotten
