stoj22 Posted 17 March , 2009 Posted 17 March , 2009 I was reading a report about 16 absentees who were tried at Leeds Police Court and thought I would try and trace their ultimate fate. One of the men was: Lot Shuttleworth (33), Springfield Place Leeds. "Lot Shuttleworth charged with being a Reservist and not reporting and with being an absentee from the Northumberland Fusiliers - ordered to await an escort." 37804 Private Lot Shuttleworth, 1st Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, is on the Arras Memorial, he died 13 December 1917. http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_detail...asualty=1652937 Does anybody have the location of the battalion on that date? thanks in advance, Steve.
per ardua per mare per terram Posted 18 March , 2009 Posted 18 March , 2009 Maybe Graham Stewart will be able to help. Possibly if you added a description requesting the location on 1st Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers on 13 December 1917 you will get more takers.
