Or any history please. regards, Dean. At Malta, 1916. PINCHER: Displacement 975 tons. The only "Beagle" Class destroyer built by Denny Bros. Launched 15.3.10. Armament; 1 x 4", 3 x 12pdr, 2 x TT. Turbines. Coal fired, 27kts. Lost on the Seven Stones, 24th July, 1918 whilst, with SCORPION, escorting WAR HOSTAGE from Plymouth through the Western Approaches. "Pincher.", Royal Navy who died age 29 on 24 July 1918 Son of the late Frederick and Sarah Ann Wheelhouse. Remembered with honour GWITHIAN (ST. GOTHIAN) CHURCHYARD I looked through my copy of The War graves Of The British Empire Cemeteries & Churchyards in the County of Cornwall & found: Officer's Steward 1st Class G MARMARA 355351, H.M.S. "Pincher.", Royal Navy who died age 45 on 24 July 1918 Son of Albert and Magdalen Marmara; husband of Sarah Marmara. Remembered with honour PERRANZABULOE (ST. PIRAN) CHURCHYARD Kath.
