I'm looking for information regarding the 10th Lincolns part in the attack on the Pont du Jour on the 9th April 1917. In particular I'm looking for personel accounts, diaries, letters etc from those who came through. I know the Liddle collection in Leeds holds 2nd Lt Reeds diary and letters, but I was wondering if anyone knows, or indeed posseses any other account? All help gratefully received

Joe

I promised you some information last week. Unfortunately my e-mail has been going berserk and messages have been self-destructing. The problem is now fixed so if you send me your address again, I'll post it to you.

Terry,

Tried to e-mail you my address again but it was returned undelivered. I thought it might be easier to leave you my home address here instead:

101 Woodland Road

Clifton

Bristol

BS8 1US

Thanks again for your help

This was all covered well by the LIncolnshire Echo, who sent a reporter with Lincoln Mayor, priests etc. Might be worth looking at their website in case anything remains there, or get in touch with their news people - always helpful.
